The final type of portable wheelchair ramp is the adjustable length or telescopic ramp which can reach over 10 feet in length when fully extended. They come with two individual ramps that are placed under each side of the wheelchair and can cover over most obstacles.
Power scooters or motorized wheelchairs will not be able to use the adjustable wheelchair ramps as the six wheelchairs can’t fit on the two individual ramps, but for manual wheelchairs it should not be any issues. Weight capacity of these styles of wheelchairs is much lower than other ramps.
If you can measure the height difference and the length of ramp required and most manufacturers will tell you what ramp is best suited for your needs. Portable wheelchairs come in a variety of sizes for you to choice from.
